It´s not really big news that playing poker is a good way of earning a few extra bucks. Maybe even a couple of millions! If you´re a good poker player, that is. Otherwise you might have to turn to other ways in earning or saving some extra cash if you need to.

The good news are, today there is a lot of other ways you can earn money on. The only thing you need is the knowledge and the skills, then you´re good to go!
So instead of focusing on where you can win or earn a lot of money, lets think about where you can save money. To tell you the truth, this is also a smart way of earning money. Simply saving up and not spending every damn nickel you got on your hands.

But if you find yourself in a desperate need of a product, there is a cheaper place to turn, for example a penny auction or a good sample sale at Harrods. The key is simply to find the places that you can buy cheaper stuff and save up the rest.

This obviously needs a big dose of determination and focus to actually succeed. Save money may sound easy, but it can be way more complicated than you think.

Poker is an international card game, which started its era in 15th century. Today, poker is an international card game which has gathered huge fan following. People play this game both for fun and profit. There are many live casinos across the globe which serves as places for playing this game. With the change in technology, people started going for online casinos when compared to live casinos. These live casinos provide equal benefits of the live casino and they are more secure and comfortable when compared to live casino.

Most of the online casinos consist of some rooms for playing poker. These rooms sometimes have professional players and sometimes have all beginners. In order, to find the best poker room there are some important points to be remembered by players. One important point which is to be kept in mind before choosing the poker room is: Try to find a room which suits your needs.

One important keyword for selection is “Bonus”. Players should first check the bonus points being offered by the poker room. Rooms which offer more bonuses for less bankroll are said to be good to play. The amount required to get the bonus varies from one room to another. The next thing which is required to find a good poker room is the software being used by the room. Today, there are some efficient websites online which offer odds calculators and give guidance for players in playing the poker game. Such websites are of great use and are of great demand. Players should search in the internet and select the best poker room. Playability is an important task; it will be more outstanding if there is better software. Better poker software’s, help players in calculation of previous odds of the players who already played and won in those rooms. Such theories will be of great use. Traffic is also an important word which is to be kept in mind while playing poker. Player who wishes to play in a poker room definitely needs traffic. If there is not traffic then there won’t be any interest for the player to play in that room. You also have to be weary that you get the best rakeback possible.

Multiple Table play is part of software. Some of the worlds best poker players have ability to play more than one game at a time. Best players will be playing around 20 games at a time. If a poker room allows only four tables for one single time then professional players won’t come to those rooms. Sometimes, this can be a good advantage. Any beginner, who wishes to learn the game, should consider a poker room which has fewer tables because there won’t be any professional player playing in that room. There are some other issues, which are left un-attended but they are of not much importance. So any player thinking to gain heights in an online poker room should find the best poker room and best software which makes him winner.

Lowball free online poker turns the game on its hand with the pot going to the player with the lowest hand. Every player is given five cards face down and a round of betting takes place. Players have to decide to bet or fold their hand immediately. After the first round of betting has taken place, the players can improve their hands by drawing – replacing hands in their cards. Remember, in Lowball Poker improving your hand actually means lowering the value of your hand because the lowest wins!

There may be one or multi-blinds in Lowball Poker with an additional ante. There are variations on which blinds are to be called. A player has the option to draw four consecutive cards. If he wants to draw a fifth new card then it is possible only after all the players have drawn their cards – whether four or not. If the last player in the round is looking for a fifth card, a card must be burned before he is given his fifth card.

A playing hand is made of five cards. You cannot receive a fifth card or more to make up your hand if the deal has passed on to another player but the dealer can take more cards if he has a fifth card missing. You can change the number of drawing cards if:
• You have not already been dealt a card that you don’t want to take now
• The deal has not passed on to the next player and no one else has bet or indicated the number of cards he wants to draw

It is okay to tell how many cards you drew if you are asked so by another active player. The dealer is also allowed to tell the number of cards drawn by any of the players. But once the deal has passed on and the bet has been placed by another player neither you nor the dealer are obligated to tell the number of cards drawn by you. You can pat the table to state that you don’t want to draw any cards. If you wrongly call your hand and it interferes with the call of another player or causes them to make a mistake, your hand is declared dead. A player, in Lowball Poker, must announce that he has a pair.

There is also the Ace-to-Five Lowball Poker. In this type of game, the straights and flushes are not taken into account against any hand and the best hand is the one with A,2,3,4,5. A joker, if used, is designated as the lowest card in the hand. Also, in case of limit games, check-raise is not allowed unless the players have already agreed to it or been told before the deals that it would be considered.

In case of Ace-to-Five Lowball Poker, if a card that is exposed before the draw is a seven or of less value, it must be accepted. But if a card is of higher value than a seven then, it must be replaced after the deal concludes. The first card that is wrongly exposed becomes the burncard.

A Poker tournament is the event to prove your skills to a number of people who want to learn and to be impressed. Here you can prove yourself either as a Pro or as a fish. The tactics to play poker online in a Poker tournament are more or les same as that of the Poker in general. However the pre requisites to go for a tournament are slightly different as the field is more competitive there so you need to make a little preparation for that. Let’s start with the same old basic tool for playing Poker, the strategy for the game.

The strategy elements for the Poker tournament are the same; planning, calculated estimations and probabilities of chances and a measurement of risks and rewards. What makes a tournament strategy different from general Poker strategy? The answer is here the player needs to make the purpose behind playing more explicit in order to achieve success. Here you are supposed to play to be clear about your destination. Neither you can follow the rule of not letting the other person win nor can you play with the aim of loosing as least as possible. In tournaments people are to compete, so set your strategy that is competitive to others’.

The second major element which needs to be addressed when you are preparing for the tournament is the way you use your observation to help you the most. In tournaments you cannot use the soft wares to assist you; your brain is the only assistant. Use it to its maximum potential. Watch opponent’s moves and action and identify his pattern of action. Design and re design your strategy as the pattern of game changes and as your opponent changes.

Whereas you are usually not allowed to use any automated assistance, use the little tricks to play it smooth. Use more aggressive strategies to reach our final destination. Play it safe but do not play it slow. Beat the opponent before he does so. Somewhat higher degree of bluffing is also advised for the tournament players. The one who play it fast has more chances to sail through the tournament easily.

Coming to some general points, the morale is more important than in one to one game. You need to keep your spirits high all the time in order to meet the pressure. You can use some buffering measures such as soft music, drinks and a little chit chat with your partner to keep the environment light.

Above all keep one thing in mind, Poker tournament is an opportunity to prove your sportsman spirit. It is not only about the tactics you know and exhibit but also how graceful you are in all the ups and downs of your travel through the tournament. Same rules of ethics apply here. You do not need to be annoying to others during your expressions of any kind. You are supposed to behave like a sportsman so prove that you are the one in true sense.

Pokerstars.com is by far the largest poker site on the internet. Be it in terms of traffic, number of tables, variety of card games, you name it. This poker site, which was started way back in 2001, has grown rapidly to dominate the poker industry. They attract very many new players every year. Their popularity is also very much propagated by the fact that they have very many professional players sponsored by them. This poker site allows for US citizens to register and participate at real cash games. Perhaps the only one thing most members of pokerstars.com complain about is their small choice of complaints forwarding. Pokerstars.com is a very large poker site with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of registered poker players. As such, they only offer one way through which members can contact their customer service people: email. Many players don’t feel good about this as most prefer to have a variety of contact methods as do some other poker sites. Such may include telephone, fax, chat and more. Pokerstars.com offers the option of email only for players to forward their grievances. However, they do have chat options in the poker rooms/tables through which their players can be helped out in case of a problem during the games. Their software at best is convenient and very easy to use. It allows for various functionality options including the ability to view FPP points and balance money throughout the games. One good thing about their software is that it allows for multi-tabling options which are very convenient for good poker players. A player at pokerstars.com can easily resize their multi-tables while playing a poker game to suite their own desire. One very lovable feature of this poker site is that it has very many cash games and each of these games has different features. This is to say that a player can choose from thousands of games. One can either choose a high limit, low limit or even medium limits games depending on their ability or willingness to spend on real cash games. The wide variety of tables also gives players a chance to choose their table of choice. They can search around for the best table that suites them before settling on one that is good enough for them. The wide variety of games including the not so common Razz, HORSE and Hose are available at pokerstars.com. The number of tournaments at pokerstars.com is endless. They offer very many tournaments which could run from hours to days. Their guaranteed tournaments range from $500 and above. They also offer a $1.5 million tournament every Sunday which can easily be classified as the largest repetitive tournament on such a short basis in the world. A $750,000 warm up event and a $300,000 second chance event are also offered. Pokerstars.com also offers a wide range of satellite tournaments to its players and has been known for sending many players to many major tournaments around the world. This year, they intend to send over 1,000 players to the WSOP event in addition to many others to other major events such as the WPT. This is a very good website in general.

Perhaps the most common 3D poker room out there is PKR poker. This poker room has created a very big name for itself and a good one at that which is mainly publicised on the platform of incredible 3D software. PKR poker is originally from Scotland and prides itself of being one of the best poker sites out there. Indeed, it is. A first time user of 3D software will definitely get blown away by the view. 3D systems actually appear to portray real life features. Images that are actually identical to a real player playing in a real room are the experience to be expected by players who are visiting 3D poker rooms for the first time. By using a few buttons on the PKR poker room, a player can change the 3 dimensional view of the game being played and view different players from different angles. Extra features such as making comments during the game are available. One can press ‘L’ which in this case refers to Looser for a player who may not be pleasing you. The controls are also very easy to use. The fold, raise or call buttons are very easily executed as are many other buttons. The game actually ends up looking very funny which also makes it very exciting. The fact that it appears real also increases the chances of a poker player used to playing traditionally winning. This is because real life moves as would have been done in a real table can be executed in an almost similar way thus familiarising the player with the room. This does not even begin to describe what the technology ‘geeks’ are about to encounter. The 3D software has options of changing numerous features. A player is at liberty to change their personality while playing. Other features such as the voice and tone can also be changed to bring out the characteristics that a player intends to portray to the opponents. The 3D software at PKR poker also allows players to change clothes. They have a variety of changing clothes, watches, sunglasses and many more accessories. Such enable a player to create the character that would help them exude the kind of confidence they feel comfortable with. Another exclusive and amazing offer from PKR poker is their reward system. Though with many different rewards, one stands out. With enough points, which can be earned through playing real cash games, players can claim a real table or a deck of cards with the PKR logo. That is arguably not an offer present in many poker rooms. Assess this: they also have a feature which enables the player to choose their own location of playing. This may be at the beach, a hotel room or various other available locations to choose from. Some other good features available from PKR poker include good customer service, several deposit and withdrawal methods, numerous promotions and bonuses and many more. Their tournaments also attract a large number of people and the fact that they have various ones suiting different players only makes it better.

Blinds are continually raised. It is typical in a sit-n-go tournament that the blinds are raised every ten minutes or so. And as the tournament progresses, an ante could be put up as well. This would put added pressure on the players.

Another advantage of sit-n-goes is that players can enter into one anytime. As soon as you bust out, you can immediately join into one. Literally, every online poker site has a sit-n-go running 24 hours a day.

The structure of sit-n-go is an important aspect that should be looked at when considering which online poker web site you should play in. It is advantageous for a skilled player if a sit-n-go starts with more chips and the blinds that are slowly increasing. If the sit-n-go starts with only a couple of chips and the blinds go up fast then it will rely more on luck than skill. It is also favorable to a skilled player if the sit-n-go has 10 players. Web sites that have good sit-n-go structures are Party Poker and Noble Poker.
