AKPoker is the latest social poker app coming from Asia. It is an agent-based platform, with a bit different model than the other similar applications.
The developers of AKPoker provide little to no information about themselves and the brand, so everything we know about it is based on our period of testing the app for 2 weeks.
AKPoker – First Impressions
First and foremost, it is extremely easy to confuse the platform with many other ones with similar names. Asian poker sites love to name themselves after poker hands, or repeating twice or more a single letter and the name is ready.
While the name’s originality is of little importance, knowing which poker app is discussed in this review is crucial. AKPoker.net is the official website of this platform.
After being invited to test the platform and hopefully be an agent/affiliate for AKPoker, we hurry up to create an account and observe the tables. Not going to hide it, usually we love Asian poker sites.
A few minutes later, and we are already experiencing some bugs with the PC client. Had to download and uninstall it, to make it work properly, but let’s write this off as unfortunate event, which happens rarely.
Finally managed to log in, and everyone felt familiar immediately. It is pretty much a copy-paste of the other, more famous agent-based poker apps. The few tweaks that were added to differentiate this platform were not necessarily improvements. They were downgrades.
Some random crashes of the apps later, and we are already monitoring the tables successfully. But there, is where everything went from bad to worse….
Observing the Tables on AK Poker
After monitoring for a few hours, things did not look good. As with all other platforms, we are not quick to build an opinion, whether it is good or bad. Monitoring and sometimes participating in the games for a few days is the bare minimum, when vetting poker platforms, sites, apps , clubs etc.
This time, there was no participation. We chose only to observe the tables, as the games did not look clean.
At the very best, there were house players who simulated action. Their statistics were identical ( VPIP, PFR), and they always sat 2 or 3 people on separate tables. The gameplay was sterile and as if the players were just ticking off hands, without trying to do anything. Just being there to welcome outsiders who just found the platform.
Rarely was a table full; the majority of the time the same 2-3 players played for a long time, and then they were replaced by other 4-5 players spread between NLH and Omaha low to mid stakes ring games. Again playing in synchron, without players tilting, leaving, or switching tables. And everyone had similar stats.
As already mentioned, this was the good case scenario; in the bad case scenario, those were bots or players with RTA (real-time assistance). In this case, the only people who possibly can be interested in exploring this room are the Bot Crushers. Those who find exploits in the AI pre-set strategies and use this in their benefit.
AK Poker Game Types and Stakes
The platform offers variety of games, including NLH, PLO5, PLO6, MTT, AoF, SnG. Currently Sit and Go and All in or Fold tables are with 0 action. There are around 4-5 active NLH tables and 2-3 for Omaha. But those are with the above-mentioned special “players”.
AKPoker also offers freerolls on a pretty regular basis, but prepare to play against the same guys already mentioned, in not very fair battle.
How to Join AKPoker
You can easily join this platform by contacting us. However, we do not recommend joining AKPoker at the moment. If things change and they fix their mistakes and clean the room of house players and/or bots, we will gladly revisit and update this review.

AKPoker Verdict
Not going to sugar coat it – as of October 2025 , AKPoker is not the place to be. With the concern about the cleanliness of the games and safety – we do not recommend you to join this one yet. If this changes at later date, we will revisit this review.
