I went through my first year of multi-tabling online poker huddled over a 15-inch laptop with piles of tables stacked like a house of cards.

I misclicked a fold-allin at least once a week.

I sat out on tables i had forgotten even existed.

My neck was dead by month three.

Then i began watching a friend’s streams and i could see him sitting in front of two large monitors, clean grids, and hotkey buttons for all of his actions.

He was playing nearly double the number of tables as me and making roughly half of the mistakes, yet he looked bored.

So i completely rebuilt my entire setup again.

This took me the entire weekend.

First, you need good Screens.

After burning through three different screen setups, here is what really worked:

Use a 27 inch 1440p monitor for 2-4 tables.

Clean grid.

That is the entire setup for this level.

Don’t attempt multi-tabling online poker with a 1080p monitor — the text becomes a mess when the tables shrink and your eyes begin to ache by hour two.

For 4-8 tables, you will need two monitors.

I’ve been using dual 27 inch 1440p monitors for about two years now.

Each monitor has Four tables, and each has a clean grid on both sides. This is heaven when multi-tabling online poker tables.

I’ll occasionally see someone size up weakly on my far left while i’m waiting to act on the right.

The passive awareness created here is huge.

If you plan on going above eight, then you’re going to have to go to either triple monitors or a 49 inch ultrawide. This is the optimal multi-tabling online poker station. It does not mean you cannot 24 table on one or two monitors. But having 4-6 on each is the perfect way to pay attention to the little details, which are hard to miss, when you multi-table.

I tested the Samsung Odyssey G9 ultrawide.

While it does work, i personally prefer having two separate monitors.

The bezel creates a natural divide in your vision.

Do not waste your money on a high refresh rate gaming monitor for multi-tabling online poker.

High refresh rates do not make a difference in your ability to focus on many tables.

Use your money on better resolution and an IPS panel — the viewing angle will make a huge difference when your tables sit near the edge of your vision.

Tiling vs. Stacking (the argument never seems to end)

Tiling = all of your tables are visible at once in a grid format.

Stacking = your tables stack up and the active One pops to the front.

I tile.

Most of the professional grinders that i know tile.

Tiling allows you to stay aware of every table.

Allows you to read timing tells.

Prevents you from being distracted and forgetting that there is still an active table buried underneath several inactive tables.

Stacking provides you with larger readable tables when they pop to the front.

However, you are oblivious to what is happening on all of the other tables.

I tried Tiling for a month and my redline plummeted — i made so many ill-advised bets without knowing how the hands were developing due to my lack of awareness of the overall board.

Tile until you reach 12 tables.

If you are running above 12 tables, then you may have no choice but to switch to stacking unless you have a third monitor.

The poker client deals the cards. These programs deal with everything else.

Building the perfect multi-tabling online poker station is not just about hardware.

Table management

I currently run Jurojin Poker (used to run Table Ninja II).

Both provide you with hotkeys, auto-Tiling, and pre-set bet-sizes so you do not have to search for your bet-sizes while trying to quickly click on the next action.

Jurojin supports most websites whereas Table Ninja II is designed specifically around PokerStars.

There is another stars only program called StarsCaption that some players like.

Hotkeys alone are worth the price of these programs.

F1 = fold; F2 = call/check; F3-F5 = my three bet-sizes (33% pot, 66%, full pot).

Right hand on Mouse; left hand on keys.

These programs save a couple seconds per decision.

Sounded tiny until you realized how much time those couple seconds can add up across an entire session — easily half hour of thinking about poker instead of clicking around — real decisions versus mechanical ones.

A poker hud

You have only three options: PokerTracker 4; Holdem manager 3; hand2note.

Honestly just pick whatever program your friends who play poker run so you can ask them questions when it breaks down — they all do the same thing — put opponent stats on top of their tables.

And okay maybe you think you can track all of that in your head as you go through eight tables.

You can’t.

Nobody can.

At some point when you are multi-tabling online poker at any volume, you either have a hud or you are guessing against half the table — that is just how it is.

Quick side note — GGPoker bans third party HUDs.

They offer their own built-in tools (PokerCraft, Smart HUD).

Always check with your website before downloading anything to make sure you aren’t going to get banned due to tracking software.

Multi-tabling on club apps (Clubgg, PokerBros, PPPoker, Lucky Bun).

There is a whole different world here.

These apps are first mobile-friendly , so your usual multi-tabling online poker station might need some extra work.

Clubgg

Clubgg is easiest because it has its own PC client.

You can open up to Four tables natively on clubgg.

If you want more than Four tables, then you will need a third party converter — club gg converter from kings hands allows you to open up to eight tables using One account and bypasses the Four table limit on clubgg.

Clubgg also offers Smart HUD & poker craft statistics (same as GGPoker) for free so you have basic tracking without having to purchase separate software for a full hud with your tracker of choice, get hand2note asia or elite hud — both support club gg and pipe data into your tracker.

PokerBros

PokerBros is a mobile app only so you will need to use an Android emulator to play on PC — ld player blue stack, no x — pick One of the above — once running inside an emulator, you will be able to open multiple instances of the app for multiple tables.

HUDs will work through converters — the Asian hand converter (by DriveHUD) or elite hud — both support PokerBros and overlay statistical information onto the emulated tables.

Hand2note will pull hands directly from PokerBros and provide multi-table support.

Setting up is clunky compared to a normal PC client — but soft games are enough that players tolerate it.

PPPoker

PPPoker works the same way — emulator on PC, converter for your hud — Asian converter or elite hud — paired with your tracker of choice.

PPPoker provides its own built-in statistic package — basic stuff such as vpip and PFR are available free — but you must buy a VIP card ($25/month) to get the complete built-in hud with eight stats — most serious grinders pass on buying a VIP card and simply use a proper third party solution.

Lucky Bun

Lucky Bun is the newest of the group — Korean room — browser based — no download required — no emulator needed — simply open it in Chrome.

Multi-tabbing does work but each tab opens as a separate browser window which gets messy past three or Four tabs — the cap is five tables per account — KingsHands makes a converter for Lucky Bun that feeds into your hud — room also displays vpip and PFR natively like PPPoker.

One other issue many people encounter when using these apps is that while the apps themselves allow HUDs and converters, individual clubs within the apps may have rules prohibiting them — check with your agent or club before installing elite hud and begin grinding.

Physical stuff nobody talks about

Multi-tabling-online-poker-PC

Your chair may be the most under rated part of this process.

That probably sounds ridiculous coming from an article about monitors and software.

However, consider what actually happens.

Cheap chair — back starts killing me after an hour — by hour three i am squirming, i am irritated, and i start rushing decisions because some part of my brain wants to stand up and take a break — and that’s where the punty fest begins.

I found used steel case leap chairs on facebook marketplace for $400 — best thing i ever spent money on regarding poker — not possibly — it was.

Mouse – anything comfortable — $30 Logitech wired Mouse.

Mechanical keyboard with tactile switches if you plan on heavy hot key usage — you want to feel the key press.

Mushy membrane keystrokes cause double-presses when trying to fly between tables.

Skip rgb everything – skip gaming headset – neither of these things help your results when multi-tabling online poker — Screens + chair = where money goes.

Small tweaks that add up

Windows display scaling — set to 100%.

Wasting pixels with scale increases the size of your tiled tables.

Match monitor brightness to the room lighting conditions — most grinders sit in dark rooms with blasted screen light in their eyes and wonder why they have headaches by hour two — place cheap lamp behind monitors — kills contrast — big difference.

Turn off notifications prior to sitting down to play — learned this hard way — pop-up from Windows Defender covered part of active table right as river shove was coming — timed out – lost hand – wanted to smash monitor — now i turn on do not disturb before every single session played.

Your Multi-Tabling Online Poker Station is Ready

Multi-tabling-online-poker-guide

Two monitors, a table manager with hotkeys, a HUD, a decent chair, and a clean desktop. Nothing fancy. Took me a Saturday to set up.

The thing I wish someone told me earlier — multi-tabling online poker is way more about removing friction than adding stuff. Fewer obstacles between your brain and the right decision. That’s the simple trick.

Well, that plus a few thousand hours of study. But the setup part? Easy.
