PokerShip Review 2026: Familiar Club Poker, New Wrapper

Pokership-review-2026

“Bigger waves, bigger wins”. This is the ambitious slogan of the PokerShip app.

In this PokerShip review we will go in detail of what this mobile application is and how it compares to other similar platforms.

PokerShip is a club-based poker app built around private clubs – not connected into one main lobby, like regular poker sites.

If you’ve spent any time in the PPPoker / PokerBros / ClubGG / X-Poker universe, you’ll recognize the operating model immediately: the software is the tool, and the real experience is whatever the club-owners build inside it.

In early 2026, the PokerShip app has just been launched, and the ecosystem is just forming. Without any track record, let’s see if the platform has the needed conditions, to offer a stable environment for the social poker enthusiasts.

Who built PokerShip ?

On iOS (App Store), the developer is listed as UTG Tech Limited, and the seller is also UTG Tech Limited.

On Android (Google Play), it’s published by Mad Pig Tech Limited, and the listing says the game is “operated by Mad Pig Tech Limited under license.”

The official site footer shows “Copyrights@2025 Mad Pig Tech Limited.”

These are the gaming companies, listed as responsible for the app creation.

What is PokerShip in a nutshell ?

PokerShip is a platform on which private poker clubs can be built. The owners of these clubs, can invite friends to play in private games. The players submit applications to the clubs via club id’s and wait to be approved to join.

This is identical to all other club-based poker platforms available on the market. The PokerShip app has all the club, agent, and union features you might expect, with no innovation so far.

Software Overview

The software is visually identical to the many other club poker apps.

The animations, interface, and layout – everything is familiar to people familiar with this market. The concept is clear – if something is not broken, why try fixing it.

The difference between this newly launched platform and, for example, X-Poker or Pokerbros, is that PokerShip does not have a lobby where you can play for free with everyone. The games are happening only in the private clubs, similar to the ClubGG poker app.

Applications to those clubs are sent with ID and an optional Referral ID. Requests are approved by club-owners and agents, who also have an identical front-end to other club-poker apps, to operate with.

In short, this mobile poker app uses the already proven working template, without trying to change it. One thing we find odd is that they chose to give all Omaha tables the same colour. It slightly ruins the quick scannability of the club lobby. Small mistake, which can be easily fixed in future patches.

Game Types Available

The platform supports variety of poker formats, including NLH, PLO4, PLO5, PLO6, OFC, Pusoy, MTT, SNG, Zoom ( Fast Fold Poker).

Tables also come in different shapes and sizes – from Heads Up, up to 9-seated. You can add extra options such as Double Board, Bombpot or both at the same time.

The game variety is large enough; the question is, will there be enough traffic for the players to be able to play all of those games? This solely depends on the private game organizers.

Legitimacy and Safety

In the PokerShip app “Notice” section ( the second icon from left to right on the button), everyone can find the safety and fairness menu.

There it is written that the app comes with GLI certification. The claim is, that the game randomness has been internationally certified by “GLI”. The message continues with explanation, that more information can be found in the “About Us” section within the application.

Upon visiting the “About Us” menu, the terms and conditions and privacy policy documents does not mention anything about certification. It is possible, that this will be added at later date, but as of 10.01.2026, the additional information is missing.

The next safety feature is GPT & IP restrictions. These can be set on each table , by the PokerShip club/union-owners. It is a necessary addition, as it prevents to a large extent, the possibility of collusion and multi-accounting.

The last feature, mentioned in the safety and fairness measures, is the “active game watch, by team of professionals”. Since the games themselves have not started in full swing, the in-app security team can not be tested yet, but it is good that the plans are to have game integrity personnel.

PokerShip Club Owners , Diamonds, Tiers, Costs

The main selling point of PokerShip as of now are the free chips for club and union-owners.

Unlike PokerBros, PPPoker and X-Poker – chips game-organizers use, are free of charge. Similar to ClubGG, both clubs and union owners, can focus on creating the best gaming environment, without worrying about chip costs.

The only operational costs come from having to maintain a monthly club level. This is standard in the industry and all other club poker apps use this system.

There are club-levels. The bigger the level is, the more members the club can invite. In other platforms, players often confuse the yellow stars, next to the club name, for some kind of quality evidence. In reality, this just shows the club level ( basically the capacity of the club)

The cheapest tier costs 3000 Diamonds. This Level 1 club can have up to 150 members. The player count and the diamond costs rise in geometric progression until we reach the final 10th level, which costs 100k diamonds. Then you can invite up to 50k players,

To obtain diamonds, you have to buy them from the in-game shop. Here are the costs on the screenshot below :

Cost/currency may vary slightly based on your location. From the shop, you can also buy emojis, skins, time banks and most notably VIP cards, which give you some slight advantages – such as more statistics of your opponents and their tendencies. Here is another screenshot of some of the items in the shop and how much they cost:

PokerShip Union Joining and Creating

To form an union on PokerShip app, two or more clubs have to combine forces. If this happens, from this point on, they share one common lobby and the players of all clubs within the union play there. Identical to other platforms.

Club-owners either join an existing union and merge into it’s ecosystem, or the club can create its own union.

Creating an union comes with some requirements, which are not publicly disclosed yet. Upon attempting to create one, you will be countered by brief message, explaining that you have to contact the PokerShip support on their official email.

The agent system is set in place, exactly like in other club-based platforms. Similar to club-owners, you can track results of your players by days, weeks or in time period of your choosing. Here is how it looks :

Who PokerShip is for

The app makes the most sense for:

  • Players who already have a relationship with a club-owner or network and want an additional client that supports multiple formats and private tables.
  • Club-owners who want to build early, before the ecosystem becomes crowded—especially if incentives or economics make it attractive to do so.

PokerShip app is less suited to players looking for instant public-lobby liquidity. Without a good club path, it can feel empty.

How PokerShip App Compares to Other Platforms ?

Here is a quick breakdown of the most notable differences :

PokerShip vs PPPoker

PPPoker is already established platform with very large ecosystem of unions and clubs. PokerShip app is just starting out. Traffic wise is incomparable.

Software-wise, PokerShip use identical visuals and features, but even as older platform, PPPoker recently innovated its visuals, so they look more sleek and professional. Including it’s PC version.

The game security of PPPoker is established and tested to be working.

PokerShip vs Pokerbros

PokerBros has already established traffic, large USA player base and multiple private clubs and unions. One of its most controversial features, the ability to add “non-PC” tables, has been added to PokerShip as well. It is aimed towards recreational players, who want to play against to similar opponents on handheld devices in an even battle.

PokerBros has all the advantages, besides one large one, which is the lack of PC version. Emulator has to be used in order to play on Windows/Mac, while Pokership is fully functional on desktop.

PokerShip vs ClubGG

The main similarity is that both platforms are the most welcoming towards the beginner club hosts, who do not want to pay for chips. The free unlimited chips feature is huge bonus in attracting clubs and unions.

Almost everything else is clearly better on ClubGG, including traffic, established clubs/unions, vast popularity, and state-of-the-art software developed by GGPoker team.

One key component, where PokerShip has the upper hand, is the GG’s lack of official security team. ClubGG has a resourceful backend for union-owners. Most of the reputable clubs and unions on the platform have a third-party security team. But there isn;t an official in-game one, observing all the action.

PokerShip states that professional security personnel will be present on the platform, so if this materializes, it will be a key advantage.

Another thing which PokerShip has, which ClubGG lacks, are the Pusoy and Fast Fold Tables ( Zoom poker ).

Final Verdict

In this PokerShip review we took an extensive look at each of the app’s features and compared them to the already existing platforms with similar business model.

The formats are there on paper. The private club system is there. The ability to run tournaments is there. The question is whether the ecosystem forms—whether club-owners build consistent schedules, whether unions form, and whether traffic becomes something you can rely on without chasing.

Right now, it looks like a platform that’s beginning—not one that has already arrived.

Pros

  • Free chips and less costs for club owners
  • Many game types right from the start
  • Fast fold poker available
  • PC version
  • GPS & IP restriction settings

Cons

  • RNG is mentioned, but no prove of certification
  • Too familiar to many other established platforms
  • New platform, traffic will need to be built from scratch
