PPPoker is making the right changes lately.
The poker app is now available on Steam. The team keeps improving the menus, fixing small problems and adding new game options.
The latest update brings two interesting features: Sushi Game and the Wishing Wall.
One changes how poker hands are played. The other gives players a direct way to suggest what PPPoker should build next.
What Is the PPPoker Sushi Game?
The PPPoker Sushi Game is a poker side-pot format. It is mostly popular in Asia, where many private clubs enjoy unusual rules and action games.
The normal poker hand still runs as usual. Players bet for the main pot.
The difference is the extra Sushi Pot linked to the small blind position.
Here is how it works.
If the player in the small blind wins the main pot alone, that player also wins the full Sushi Pot.
They must be the only winner.
If the small blind does not win the main pot alone, the Sushi Pot stays on the table and moves to the next hand. The small blind player must also add another small blind ante to it.
This includes hands where:
- The small blind loses.
- The main pot is tied.
- The board is run more than once and the small blind does not win every run.
The Sushi Pot can keep growing until a player in the small blind wins the full main pot alone.
That is where the extra action comes from.
A normal hand can suddenly become much more important when the Sushi Pot is large. Players know the small blind has something extra to fight for. Other players may also change how they play against that position.
What Happens If You Leave the Table?
Money already added to the Sushi Pot is not returned.
If a player leaves before the Sushi Pot is won, any amount they paid into it stays in the game.
This stops players from joining, adding money to the pot and then asking for it back before somebody wins it.
Hole Cards Are Shown When the Sushi Pot Is Won
PPPoker also added a clear rule for the winning hand.
When the small blind wins the Sushi Pot, the hole cards of every player who took part in that hand are shown automatically at showdown.
This makes the result easy to check.
Everyone at the table can see how the hand was played and why the Sushi Pot was awarded.
Sushi Game Is Also Available on X-Poker
Sushi Game is not completely new to private poker apps.
The format can also be found on X-Poker. We have covered the app, its games and its private club system in our full X-Poker review.
Now PPPoker has added its own version.
You can already find clubs inside El Dorado Union offering Sushi Game. More rooms are likely to test it as players learn the rules and ask for new tables.
For active rooms, Club IDs and future additions, check our full list of PPPoker clubs and unions. We update that page when new clubs, games and traffic become available.
The New PPPoker Wishing Wall
The second new feature is called the Wishing Wall.
It replaces the old Forum button in the main menu.
The forum has not been removed. It has simply moved to the Profile section. Players can still use it to share poker hands and talk with other members.
The main menu space is now used for the Wishing Wall.
This may become one of the most useful parts of the app.
Ask PPPoker for a New Feature
Any player who has completed at least 50 hands can post a wish.
The idea is simple.
You tell PPPoker what feature, game or change you would like to see in the future.
It is a little like sending a Christmas letter to Santa. Players ask for what they want, and the PPPoker developers decide which ideas could improve the platform.
A wish does not mean the feature will certainly be added.
Still, it gives regular players a direct place to share ideas. Strong suggestions may receive support from other users and get noticed by the development team.
Players could ask for a new poker format, better table settings, menu changes or tools that make private clubs easier to use.
Players Can Vote in Official Polls
The PPPoker Wishing Wall also has a Poll section.
These polls are created by the PPPoker team.
Players can vote on questions about future features and possible changes. This gives the developers quick feedback from people who actually use the app.
It is a better system than guessing what players want.
PPPoker can ask a clear question, see the votes and learn which ideas have real support.
An Useful Update for Players and Club Owners
The PPPoker Sushi Game adds another action format for private clubs, especially those serving Asian players.
The PPPoker Wishing Wall gives the community a voice and freedom the request features directly to the developers.
Both features make sense. One adds something new to the tables. The other helps PPPoker decide what should come next.
We will post updates when more clubs begin running Sushi Game. You can follow the The Poker Agent news channel on Telegram for new tables, club updates and private poker app changes.
