What is the rake structure on poker apps?
It is one of the most common questions we get from players moving into private poker games. It is also one of the easiest questions to answer badly.
There is no single “ClubGG rake”, “PokerBros rake” or “PPPoker rake”.
The real rake structure on poker apps is normally set by the club or union. Two players can use exactly the same app and pay very different rake.
A table can be 5% with a 2BB cap. Another can be 5% with a 10BB cap. Another can be 5% uncapped.
Those are completely different structures.
This page shows the actual rake schedules we currently track across the main private poker unions and clubs. Where a union uses different rake by game or stakes, we show the full structure instead of reducing it to one misleading number.
BB = big blinds. Stakes are shown in the chip/blind levels used by the rooms. We do not treat chip symbols as dollars or other currency.

How to Read the Rake Structure on Poker Apps
Three things matter most:
- Rake % — the percentage taken from an eligible pot.
- Cap — the maximum normal rake that can be taken from one hand.
- Game and stakes — the cap often changes dramatically as the stakes increase.
For example, 5% / 3BB means 5% is taken until the rake reaches 3 big blinds.
A structure of 5% uncapped is very different. The percentage is the same, but there is no normal ceiling.
That is why comparing the rake structure on poker apps by percentage alone can give you the wrong answer.
PPPoker Rake Structure
Clubs on PPPoker come from variety of countries, but below are the most important unions:
Yamal / 388 Union
The rake structure on poker apps inside 388 is split between regular/VIP games, Bomb Pots and OFC.

El Dorado / Evolution Union
Evolution has one of the simpler rake structure on poker apps schedules.

For players who want an easy rake structure on poker apps to understand, this is one of the cleanest examples on the page.
Sul Home Game
Sul Home Game is a private room rather than a named union in our database.

Most Suprema poker clubs are part of the main Suprema union. Below is the rake structure.

The Malaysian Union has several separate game structures.

Taiwan Union has one of the largest schedules on the page because NLH, PLO4, PLO5, PLO6, OFC, All-In or Fold, 6+ and 13-card games are all priced differently.

Taiwan Union is a good example of why a serious rake structure on poker apps guide needs the actual tables. Saying “Taiwan is 5%” would hide most of the structure.

Paradise uses a stake-based schedule rather than one fixed cap.

There is an important short-handed rule:
Short-handed tables have the rake reduced by half.
That can make a major difference to players who regularly start games or play with fewer opponents.
UK Union
UK Union has two separate structures.

Massiv shows better than almost any other union why the rake structure on poker apps must be checked by stakes.
PLO5 moves from an 8BB cap at 0.05/0.10 to only 1.7BB at 10/20.
Same 6% rake. Very different effective cost.

Comparing the rake structure on poker apps only makes sense when you compare similar formats and stakes.
A 1BB HU cap should not automatically be ranked against a full-ring PLO6 game.

An 8% game with a 1.7BB cap can behave very differently from an 8% uncapped game.
Which High-Stakes Games Have the Best Rake Structure?
Higher stakes frequently get much tighter caps.
Some of the clearest examples are:

For a high-stakes player, the cap in BB often matters more than whether the headline percentage is 5%, 6% or 7%.
That is one of the most important lessons when comparing the rake structure on poker apps.
In Which Clubs or Unions Is the Rakeback Deal Best?
Rakeback should be checked after you understand the rake.
A large rakeback percentage does not automatically mean a cheaper game.
The useful calculation is:
